|
PART-TIME ELL TUTOR : Immediate Opening The ELL Tutor will provide support to English Language Learner designated students within the District. This position is up to a maximum of 19 hours per week during the school year. We are seeking applicants licensed at the elementary and/or secondary levels. Position may require travel between schools. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •Provides individual and small group push-in and pull-out services to support language acquisition. •Receives instructional assignments from and works collaboratively with classroom teachers. •Assists teachers in monitoring pupil academic or behavioral progress by assessing and recording student performance during instructional sessions. •Assesses and screens students utilizing the following: WIDA Screener, WIDA ACCESS, and other assessment tools as needed. •Maintenance of student records in compliance with regulations. •Prepares summary reports of student service delivery and progress, as required. •Participates in meetings regarding student programs as requested by the teacher and/or an administrator. •Attends child study teams and/or parent conferences as required. •Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Student Services. QUALIFICTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: •Master’s Degree preferred •MA Teacher Licensure as a Teacher of English as a Second Language. This is a requirement of the position.
