Position Summary: Paraprofessional to support students with intellectual and multiple impairments, including individuals with autism, and complex medical needs. This classroom focuses on functional life skills and sensory needs, in addition to social-communication skills, and academics. Assist professional staff with all aspects of program management including classroom, student support and provision of therapy services. This is an assignment for a STRIVE classroom. Students in this classroom range in age from 16-20. Specific Duties: Work with a classroom teacher in an academic support role. Collaborate with professional staff to ensure the safety of the students in all environments. Participate in training in relevant areas. Please see specific job description for complete details. Qualifications: Experience working with students with multiple disabilities. Education/Training/Experience: Excellent teamwork, communication and organization skills needed.
