Title: Custodian (2nd Shift)
Position Summary: Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School is looking for a 2nd Shift Custodian to maintain a safe, clean, efficient and functional environment. Must work positively and cooperatively in a team and independent environment, maintaining an attitude exemplifying the department's philosophy. Performs all of the duties of a general custodian. The ideal candidate will have great physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are also imperative. Helps the School District fulfill its mission of service to its students, faculty and community and protects the capital investments made by the School District in its Public Facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):
Responsible for the cleanliness of assigned areas/buildings. Shipping and receiving.
Monitor the supplies and equipment and report any problems
Keep the Director of Buildings and Grounds/Supervisor informed of the progress of the work and any significant developments as they occur
Identify and correct health and safety issues in a timely manner
Perform building security checks as needed and schedule building use situations
Keep work areas clean and clear of debris
Clean classrooms, offices and hallways. Remove rubbish and recycling
Wash and disinfect areas including: washrooms, toilets, toilet seats, hand dryers and fixtures
Strip, wax and mop tile and concrete floor areas
Vacuum carpeted areas
Clean windows, dust furniture and fixtures as required
Work with, assist in, overseeing the contract cleaners
Work overtime as needed
Building Security, responsible for working with the Director of Buildings and Grounds, Administrators and staff to maintain a safe and healthy atmosphere for students and staff through the monitoring and supervision of the campus
Perform other similar and related duties as may be assigned by the Director of Buildings and Grounds, or as situation dictates. All day/night custodians may be required to assist others in the various trades toward the completion of assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Massachusetts drivers license
Successful completion of a Criminal Record check (C.O.R.I. and fingerprint) and a pre-placement medical examination
Demonstrated interest working in a school environment
Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the techniques of custodial maintenance
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
Good oral and written skills
Demonstrated ability to perform a wide variety of skilled and unskilled custodial tasks using hand or power tools and related equipment to maintain buildings and equipment as detailed in the performance responsibilities
Perform other similar and related duties as may be assigned or as the situation dictates. This position also assists others in the various trades towards the completion of assignments as needed.
Experience:
Minimum three (3) years experience in custodial maintenance
Schedule:
Weekday Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 11:00pm
First shift during shutdowns and summers
Salary Range:
$21.81/Hour - $28.48/Hour

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School is organized in a house system.
Ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grade students are divided among four
houses. Each house is staffed by an associate principal, counselors, and a house
assistant, with access to a clinical counselor and curriculum/scheduling
support. Additional services are provided through special education.
