Title: Long-Term Substitute Math Teacher (1.0 FTE)

Position Summary:
Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School seeks a Long-Term Substitute Math Teacher for the first semester of the ‘23-’24 academic year starting August 28, 2023. The first semester concludes on or about January 24, 2024.

Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):
  • Teach the depth and breadth of our college-preparatory mathematics program, including all aspects of planning, collaboration, instruction and assessment.
  • Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the LS community
  • Plan lessons that meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students
  • Create a classroom environment that is inclusive and productive, and maintains appropriate standards of classroom behavior
  • Provide timely and appropriate feedback to students, with progress reports as needed
  • Communicate with parents to discuss student progress
  • Pursue professional growth through activities in and out of school
  • Cooperate with other professional staff in supporting student learning
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred from an accredited college or university
  • Licensed, or eligible for licensure in Mathematics 8-12 by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, to include Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement

    Experience Preferred:
  • 3 + years educational teaching environment preferred
  • High School teaching experience preferred

    Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School is organized in a house system. Ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grade students are divided among four houses. Each house is staffed by an associate principal, counselors, and a house assistant, with access to a clinical counselor and curriculum/scheduling support. Additional services are provided through special education.
