Title: History Teacher (.5 FTE)

Position Summary: Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School District seeks a qualified half-time (.5 FTE/two classes) History Teacher for a year-long leave position.

Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):
  • Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the LS community
  • Plans lessons that meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students
  • Creates a classroom environment that is inclusive and productive, and maintains appropriate standards of classroom behavior
  • Provides timely and appropriate feedback to students, with progress reports as needed
  • Communicates with parents to discuss student progress
  • Pursues professional growth through activities in and out of school
  • Cooperates with other professional staff in supporting student learning
  • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred from an accredited college or university
  • Licensed, or eligible for licensure in the appropriate field by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, to include Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement

    Experience Preferred:
  • 3 + years educational teaching environment preferred
  • High School teaching experience preferred

    Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School is organized in a house system. Ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grade students are divided among four houses. Each house is staffed by an associate principal, counselors, and a house assistant, with access to a clinical counselor and curriculum/scheduling support. Additional services are provided through special education.
