Westfield Public Schools is seeking additional qualified applicants for following positions:
PSYCHOLOGIST: Under the direction of authorized administrators shall:
- Conduct individual psychometric examinations employing nationally recognized scales
- Write psychometric reports
- Maintain pertinent records on all referred students
- Confer with principals, teachers, and parents as needed
- Attend case conferences on placement of individual students
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the building principal and/or the superintendent or his/her designee
The salary and terms of employment will be commensurate with the Westfield Public Schools Unit A contract. Salary placement will be based on information contained in the application as submitted.
Performance on this position will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Westfield School Committee policy on evaluation.
This position subject to funding.

<b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b>
<ul><li>Current and valid certification as a school psychologist with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
<li>At least three years teaching experience or comparable work in a psychological setting preferred.</ul>
<b>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</b>
Work is generally conducted within school building. Ability to travel throughout the school building is necessary. Position involves sitting and the ability to travel from one place to another within the office. Work is largely sedentary and light in nature with regular lifting of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds with some pulling and pushing or reaching above, generally of desk and file drawers. Frequent use of hands to operate keyboards and telephones and other office equipment and to finger and handle. Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required |
