NOTIFICATION OF VACANCIES:
Applications will be accepted for the grant funded position of the Newcomers Academy Coordinator in the Westfield Public School District to be held during April break on Tuesday, April 18-21, 2023. The program for students will take place April 18-21, 2023.

Grant Funded position
POSITIONS:
1 COORDINATOR- Up to 50 hours with the rate of $46.65 per hour for pre-program planning, program oversight during the academy, and providing staff professional development for teachers
REPORTS TO: Director of Assessment and Accountability, Director of Curriculum and Instruction and Building Principals
RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee program implementation and instruction. Recruit student Provide training and support for staff members. Supervise staff. Maintain student attendance records. Maintain records of all meetings. Address any student disciplinary issues. Manage the assessment schedule. Create teacher schedules. Communicate with parents regarding student progress and attendance. Monitor student transportation before and after the program. Coordinate special events and/or field trips. Collect time cards. Support both staff and students to create a positive learning climate and community. Plan and conduct a training session prior to program start date. Perform any duties that may be assigned by the Administrator of Student Interventions, Building Principal, or the Superintendent of Schools.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Massachusetts grade level appropriate administrator and teacher certification
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Previous administrative experience in facilitating programs is preferred
At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
Bachelor degree preferred Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required |
