Chelmsford Public Schools - Announcement of Teaching Vacancy for the 2022/2023 School Year

The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following anticipated vacancy. The district reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.

Position: FT Summer Pre-K Teacher Assistant
Location: Community Education Summer Program
Reports to: Adult Education Program Coordinator and Director of Community Education

Description of Position:
To assist in coordination of the Community Education summer Pre-K childcare program to ensure proper instruction.
and activities for students to increase their academic and social emotional skills. Perform various instructional,
clerical and other related duties, to meet the objectives of the program.
  • Full time Pre-K Teachers assistant to aid in the facilitation of full day childcare summer programming.
  • Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm
  • Beginning July 5, 2023, through August 11, 2023
  • Salary range based on experience and education
  • Position includes 30-minute lunch break and a 15-minute break to be scheduled by the supervisor and the
    teacher
    Performance Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
  • Assist in coordinating daily routine of activities, play time, meals and snacks
  • Provide loving care and attention to each child and promote healthy self-esteem in each child.
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Support an education environment that is emergent, challenging, warm, inviting and is based on inquiry and
    play.
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Ability to be flexible with schedule and share communal spaces in the building.
  • Willingness to do anything required to support the classroom.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors of Chelmsford Community Education about any needs or concerns
    of the program
