Chelmsford Public Schools - Announcement of Teaching Vacancies for the 2022- 2023 School Year

The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following anticipated vacancy. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.

Position: Lunch/Recess Aide (part-time)

Location: Center Elementary School

General Description: To provide student supervision to maintain a well-organized, smoothly-functioning school environment. Duties include, supervise student during recess and lunch periods. During the lunch period, provide assistance to students in opening lunch materials, cleaning tables, and monitoring social interactions. At recess, closely monitor students for safety, social interactions and appropriate play. The successful candidate will be able to work on a team of recess aides to provide a safe and caring environment for all students. At times, assist teachers and other professional personnel in classroom, office, and library with miscellaneous tasks.

Reports to: School Principal

Work Days: 181-day work year

Hours per week: 15 hours per week. 3 hours/day during lunch shifts

Job Requirements
Applicants should hold the following qualifications: <ul> <li>High School Diploma <li>Experience working with children. <li>Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities at the elementary level. <li>Experience working with age appropriate students in a school setting. <li>Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable. </ul>
