The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following anticipated vacancy. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.
Position: Elementary ABA Paraprofessional
Description of Position: Paraprofessional for Specialized Autism Program. Applicants do not need to be ABA trained in advance, but willing to be trained. Minimum High School Diploma and willingness to be trained in supporting students in autism spectrum disorder program.

Byam Elementary School has a student population of roughly 425 students from kindergarten through fourth grade. Byam prides itself on educating the whole child and creating a caring and supportive environment for every student to learn. The staff is committed to providing high quality instruction with a solid understanding in pedagogy and developmentally appropriate practices. Students are held to high standards and are supported to achieve those standards by a host of talented educators and support staff. The staff is also steadfast in their professional growth and development in order to better serve the students and families of the Byam community. |

Citizenship, residency or work visa required
A team player to work as an ABA paraprofessional providing support for students. Candidate will work with elementary school children, both in general education classrooms and the special education classroom to support students academically, socially, emotionally, and/or physically.
Successful candidate will have a positive attitude and must work well as a member of a team.
Ability to build relationships with students and colleagues, and provide ongoing support and direction to students.
No experience required
Associate degree preferred Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required |
