The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following anticipated vacancy. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.

Position:Long-Term Substitute Preschool Special Education Teacher

Description: DESE licensed teacher for an integrated preschool classroom. The integrated preschool classroom is an inclusive setting that serves both children with identified disabilities and typically developing peers.

QUALIFICATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Experience working with Special Education population.
Certification in Early Childhood Education AND Moderate Disabilities preferred.
  • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) approach and techniques - preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with preschool aged children with and without disabilities.
    Evaluating children to determine eligibility for special education
    Developing and implementing IEPs in an integrated classroom setting
  • Writing of report cards for all students and progress notes for IEP students
  • Lesson planning and implementation
  • Collaborations with colleagues, including staff meetings and professional development
  • Other duties and responsibilities appropriate to the position and as assigned by the preschool coordinator.
