DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•STRIDES Program Teacher (Autism Spectrum Disorders)--This is a specialized program for students who require ABA programming.
•Work year is 182 days with a six (6) week summer component which is contingent upon the student’s IEP.
•Utilization of an ABA methodology, responsible for all ongoing data collection
•Writing and implementing Individualized Educational Programs, data collection, conduct assessments/evaluations.
•Facilitate annual reviews, and participate in IEP meetings, including completing all documents required, completing necessary assessments and developing the IEP and goals and objectives.
•Utilization of the ACE program for student assessment, data collection and goal setting.
•Assist students with the development of social and emotional skills
•Work in collaboration with school psychologist, district BCBA, classroom teacher, administration and all other related service providers to develop and implement individualized behavior plans
•Ability to assist student(s) with both academic and social/emotional goals as stated in the IEP
•Act as a liaison between home and school and consultant service providers
•Participate in district required and provided professional development, coaching and program support
•Participate in Safety-Care training required
•Training of the STRIDES program educational assistants in relevant behavior management and data collection techniques
•Help transfer student & support for toileting protocols
•Collaborate with the building principal to identify and schedule professional development opportunities
•Other related duties as assigned

DEGREE PREFERRED:
•Master’s Degree in Special Education
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
•1-2 years working with students on the autism spectrum; ABA background preferred
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Moderate or Severe Disabilities DESE License
•This position requires a 6 week summer component.
•Ability to lift
At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
Master degree preferred Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required |
