FPS is currently working with DESE’s Statewide System of Support to plan and implement turnaround strategies at four of its schools.

The Permanent Building Substitute Teacher is responsible for delivering a high-quality instructional experience consistent with the curriculum standards of the school district.

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
  • Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary license in the specific subject area(s).
  • SEI Endorsement.

    A Substitute Teachers will assist in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct and for the classroom behaviors and procedures, maintaining order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
    Other duties as assigned by the school administration.

    Applicant must be available to work the school year calendar (180 days).
    City Retirement is mandatory.
    There is no paid time off for this position.
    Time sheets are filled daily/weekly for payroll.

    Please note direct deposit will be mandatory for all substitute teachers, time sheets are submitted for payroll.
