The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following vacancy. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.
Position: Adult Education Night Supervisor for Chelmsford Community Education Building

Job Description: Night class supervisor at CommEd building, 170 Dalton Road on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:00pm- 9:30pm.

Fall session from mid- September to mid- December (exact dates to be determined). Actual start and end time based on daily class schedule; no snow days.

Winter/Spring session from mid-January to mid- May (exact dates to be determined). Actual start and end time based on daily class schedule.

FTE: Part time, emplyee at will, approximately 9 hours a week.

Reports to: Director Chelmsford Community Education

Responsibilities:
  • Site supervisor, responsible for any emergencies that may arise
  • Greet instructors
  • Print attendance sheets
  • Ensure rooms are set up for classes- physically and technology
  • Break down rooms after classes
  • Work with custodians (cleaners) to ensure buildings and classroom doors are open
  • Work with custodians to endure that outside lights are on proper timing
  • Prior to class start, work with technology to ensure proper software is loaded on computers.

    Qualifications: * First Aide & CPR * Ability to work independently * Highly organized * Good oral and written communication skills * Good problem solving and conflict resolution * Ability to work well with staff, parents and students * Computer skills and familiarity with online platforms * Any other duty as needed and assigned by administration
