Chelmsford Public Schools - Announcement of Vacancy for the 2022- 2023 School Year

The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following anticipated vacancy. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.

Position: Elementary ABA Paraprofessional

ABA trained (Applied Behavior Analysis) or be willing to be trained
Associates degree, 2 years of college or passing of the para test.
Knowledge and understanding of ASD disability.
Knowledge of school classroom procedure, including preparation and maintenance of records.
Knowledge of special education procedures.
Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities at the identified school level: elementary, middle or high school.
Experience working with age appropriate students in a school setting.
Support students academically, emotionally, behaviorally, socially in the school setting
Assist students with toileting as needed
Ability to follow directions and implement accommodations and modifications as directed by teachers and related service providers
Ability to collect data consistently
Ability to consistently follow and implement a behavior support plan.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable by the principal, special education coordinator, and Director of Student Services.

Job Requirements
A team player to work as an ABA paraprofessional providing support for students. Candidate will work with elementary school children, both in general education classrooms and the special education classroom to support students academically, socially, emotionally, and/or physically. Successful candidate will have a positive attitude and must work well as a member of a team. Ability to build relationships with students and colleagues, and provide ongoing support and direction to students.
