Job Description
POSITION: Information Technology Technician
Non-Exempt Position
WORK YEAR: Full-year, full-time position
RATE OF PAY: Negotiable
SUPERVISOR: Information Technology Manager

Possess strong knowledge of computers, technology and networks. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Experience with Windows operating systems and applications, productivity and educational software; webpage design and online software applications; antivirus and security software; Internet and Email. Knowledge of how networks function and the ability to diagnose and resolve problems. Ability to work independently to stay on task, multi-task, and take responsibility to complete assigned projects and duties in a timely and efficient manner. Willingness to stay current with ever-changing technology hardware and software.

Job Responsibilities:
•Provides timely and comprehensive computer support to staff and students.
•Troubleshooting hardware and software errors, configuring new computers and peripherals, updating and upgrading equipment, and maintaining an inventory of deployed technology.
•Respond to and follow up on all user ticket requests in a timely manner in conjunction with other IT personnel.
•Ability to learn and help deploy new software and hardware products and services
•Ability to troubleshoot Windows 10, ChromeOS, and Apple IOS.
•Repair and maintain equipment
•Maintain and upkeep computer labs, printers, office and classroom computers, projectors and technology equipment
•Configure and install new hardware including workstations, projectors and network equipment
•Ability to work in multiple dissimilar environments across multiple buildings
•Perform duties and special projects as assigned by the IT Manager

Required Qualifications:
•Education and Experience: Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Industry certifications are highly desirable, including CompTIA A+. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and organizational skills. Strong problem solving, research and troubleshooting skills. Strong time management and the ability to prioritize. Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without restrictions. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
•Knowledge: Knowledge of tcp/ip networks, office procedures, and technology utilization.
•Abilities: Ability to handle information in a sensitive, confidential and professional manner is essential; ability to understand and apply procedures, regulations and policies; ability to work independently, meet deadlines and be able to prepare reports. Must be detail oriented and maintain highest level of accuracy.
•Skill: Excellent organizational skills; excellent data processing skill in the use of personal computers and office software including word processing, computer and spreadsheet applications.

Physical Demands: Light to medium physical effort is generally required in performing duties in this office environment. This position requires the ability to operate a computer keyboard and standard office equipment at efficient speed and for lengthy periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without restrictions.
