DATE:June 14, 2016 TITLE: Gay-Straight Alliance Advisor SALARY: As per Basic Teacher’s Salary Schedule FUNCTION:The primary expectation of this club would be to create opportunities for students to work and learn together, to build relationships, knowledge, and common purpose to advance diversity and LGBTQ issues for the larger school community. LOCATION:Bellingham High School
DUTIES: 1. Facilitate weekly club meetings 2. Collaborate with administers to update school policy and increase awareness around diversity issues. 3. Community liaison to PFAG and GBLTQ organizations 4. Coordinate community outreach and events 5. Coordinate annual school wide social events 6. Adheres to the adopted policies of the Bellingham School Committee.
EXPERIENCE: 1. Preferably a member of the High School teaching staff. 2. Experience in producing and directing activities relating to drama.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Dedication to the service of youth. 2. Demonstrated ability to relate favorably with students.
