DATE:June 16, 2022 TITLE: Cable Television Club Advisor SALARY: As per Basic Teacher’s Salary Schedule, subject to funding from Cable 8 FUNCTION:To help each student obtain maximum benefits from participation in planning and developing educational programs for the school and school system. The Cable Television Club Advisor is directly responsible to the building principal and is expected to work in close liaison with the Audiovisual Director in directing and supervising appropriate student activities related to the above club. LOCATION:Bellingham High School
DUTIES: 1. Administers the organization of student participants and provides interested student an opportunity to participate in the program. 2. Assists students with the selection and evaluation of projects in the operation of the CTV studio. 3. Provides guidance to students in developing the format and content of proposed programs for CTV viewing. 4. Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior to provide an orderly productive environment during student activity periods. 5. Submits monthly reports to the building principal regarding the progress of the club. 6. Helps each student to enhance his/her talents as a contributing member of the club. 7. Assumes responsibility for supervision of the area in which assigned activity is conducted at all times when students are present. 8. Advises students in following by-laws and constitution of the CTV club. 9. Maintains necessary forms and completes reports as required for the operation of the CTV club. 10. Prepares an annual budget of materials and equipment needed for the operation of the studio. 11. Purchases or produces materials within budgeted allotment. 12. Schedules faculty and student access to CTV studio and control room. 13. Recommends purchase of, and oversees maintenance and distribution of, all materials and equipment. 14. Conducts inservice programs on the use of all CTV materials and equipment to professional personnel. 15. Maintains an inventory of all equipment. 16. Assumes responsibilities for related duties that may be assigned from time to time. 17. Adheres to the adopted policies of the Bellingham School Committee.
EXPERIENCE: 1. Preferably a member of the High School teaching staff. 2. Experience in operation of a CTV studio and control room.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Dedication to the service of youth. 2. Demonstrated ability to relate favorably with students.
