DATE: June 17, 2022 TITLE: PBIS/SEL Coach - 1 position each at DiPietro, Stall Brook, and Memorial School SALARY: $2,000 stipend, 2022-2023 one-year only position
DISTRICT GOALS : Goal One: To develop and consistently implement sound, research-based instructional practices with all students at all times as measured through formal and informal observations. Goal Two: Increase student achievement to college and career proficiency standards by analyzing student data using consistent protocols and established timelines to determine a focus of instruction for each student. Goal Three: Promote student achievement by establishing a comprehensive collaborative learning environment focused on student instruction, professional dialog, and parent partnership. Overall goal for this work: Build our capacity to provide high quality support services for all students, while building our students’ engagement in SEL skill-building activities.
ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work collaboratively with the members of the district and school-based PBIS/SEL Teams on the following: 1. Implement SEL Curriculum 2. Support staff in the implementation of SEL curriculum 3. Promote a consistent district-wide definition of Social Emotional Learning 4. Identify and promote PD opportunities featuring SEL content throughout the school 5. Implement school-wide assessments from which programs will be built, and assist in scoring and data analysis 6. Plan for and attend all building-based PBIS/SEL meetings, up to 10 hours outside of the school day, and district-provided PBIS professional development sessions 7. Facilitate, assist, maintain, and adapt school training implementation efforts 8. Active and iterative delivery of PBIS, as well as SEL practices consistent with PATHS methodology
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Able to attend school-based and district team meetings at least monthly, outside of the school day 2. Regular and/or special education Massachusetts certified teacher, school adjustment counselor, school psychologist, or equivalent professional staff 3. Ability to attend coaches meetings/ work with leadership teams 4. Skilled in collection and use of data for problem-solving and decision making. 5. Fluent with PBIS Principles (Features, practices, and systems across tiers) 6. Knowledge of PBIS Principles (i.e., triangle or continuum of supports) 7. Understands basic behavioral principles 8. Familiar with components and operation of a proactive school-wide behavior discipline system 9. Aware of the application of school-based data management and data-based decision making
