DATE: June 16, 2022 TITLE: Elementary Lead Teacher SALARY: As per Basic Teacher’s Salary Schedule
FUNCTION: Assist the Principal in implementing effective and clear procedure for the operation and functioning of the entire school consistent with the philosophy, mission, values and goals of the school and district, including instructional programs, extracurricular activities, discipline systems to ensure a safe and orderly climate, financial management, facilities maintenance, program evaluation, personnel management, office operations, emergency procedures, and community relations. Promotes high standards and expectations for all students and staff for academic performance and responsibility for behavior.
Work toward achieving the goal of: Improved student performance Research based program of curriculum and instruction supported by and integrated with an appropriate array of research proven supplemental strategies School based leadership and decision making to ensure a comprehensive plan with annual student achievement targets, supported by parents, staff, and community members. Collect data regarding the needs and achievement of students, including State assessments, and other pertinent information affecting the design and implementation of services and programs, using the information to recommend new programs and modification to existing programs. Conduct and coordinate any meetings when necessary. Act as liaison between the grade levels, parents, and the administration as necessary. Develop and document common practices among grade level teams. Familiarize new teachers and substitute teachers with the school program, practices and procedures. Assist principal in coordinating practices and procedures among staff. Mediate conflicts and differences when necessary. Assume school building principal responsibilities in the absence of the principal. Adheres to the adopted policies of the Bellingham School Committee. Additional duties at the discretion of the building principal
QUALIFICATIONS: Complete two or more years as an elementary staff member. Possess the ability to conduct meetings and to build strong professional relationships with team members. Display leadership ability.

DiPietro Elementary School opened in 1989, originally named South Elementary School. The school has 22 classrooms with an enrollment of 444 students in kindergarten through third grade. The mission of DiPietro Elementary School is to provide a creative, supportive learning environment that meets the needs of individual students in which we maximize achievement, promote social competency, respect similarities as well as differences, and develop life-long learners who contribute positively to the community. DiPietro Elementary School a great place to be. Our teachers are dedicated to ensuring that each child meets his or her full potential. Our goal is to create a positive school environment in which all children can learn and celebrate their accomplishments.
