DATE: June 16, 2022 TITLE: District Instructional Leadership Position SALARY: As per Basic Teacher’s Salary Schedule FUNCTION: Systematically guide and direct the improvement of instruction, leading to higher student achievement. Directly responsible to the Building Principal.
Focus on the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) program track and two focused on the Humanities (Social Studies & Languages) program track, or another configuration determined by the Building Principal.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Works as a member of the school and district instructional leadership teams to identify needs, address problems, and improve student outcomes. 2. Analyzes data and researches best practices to make recommendations regarding instruction, interventions, feedback, curriculum and programming to improve student outcomes. 3. Promotes data discussions and processes that improve student outcomes. 4. Facilitates the development and implementation of district approved curriculum using district approved processes and resources. 5. Researches and recommends curricula, instruction and assessment resources. 6. Participates in and helps foster a collaborative professional culture that supports reflection of self and analysis of school instructional practices and student outcomes. 7. Encourages and attempts research, experimentation, professional development, and a variety of teaching methodologies and modes to improve teaching and learning. 8. May assist in the interviewing of new school personnel. 9. Participates actively in professional development to reach school and district improvement objectives. 10. May be required to attend out of school meetings for which they will be compensated at their per diem rate.

The Stall Brook School is a neighborhood, inclusive school, built in 1973. The school has 15 classrooms with an enrollment of 245 students in grades kindergarten through third grade. The school houses the system's Early Childhood Center as well as the system's ABA program. The mission of the Stall Brook School is for teachers, parents, and staff to work together to create an outstanding educational environment that will build character, support learning, and prepare all students to become contributing citizens to our ever-changing society. Our staff works hard to make Stall Brook School a great place to be. Our dedicated teachers work to ensure that each child meets his or her full potential.
