Mathematics Teacher Bellingham High School
Job Description Establish clear objectives for all units, daily lessons, and projects, and effectively communicate these objectives to students both verbally and virtually on google classroom. Utilize the Bellingham High School mathematics curriculum to design and implement lesson plans that meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students and employ a variety of instructional techniques. Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of all learners. Analyze student data individually and with the department members on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required. Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations. Hold office hours for students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested. Actively create and maintain an environment in which students’ diverse backgrounds, identities, strengths, and challenges are respected. Attend monthly staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Appropriate MA DESE Certification Required At least one year of full-time teaching experience or completion of a student teaching program Commitment to ensuring academic success for all students Patience, resilience, and cultural sensitivity. Ability to read, interpret, and apply student performance data to instructional planning and execution Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent communication and collaboration skills
