DUTIES:
Instructs students in basic age appropriate computer skills, information literacy skills, instructional software applications, digital citizenship, internet safety, and internet searching skills. Provide project-based exploration and learning opportunities with a variety of materials and tools. Incorporates STEM into the curriculum Uses available school resources to teach coding Works collaboratively with the IT department and the building principal in the recommendation of new software that aligns with the Massachusetts Digital Literacy and Computer Science Curriculum Framework. Instructs students in the proper use, care, and safe handling of equipment Collaborates with teachers to design instruction that supports the MA Curriculum Frameworks Assists teachers in classrooms in the use of instructional technology to enhance student learning Performs related duties as may be assigned by the principal Adheres to the policies and procedures of the Bellingham School Committee
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong Google Apps for Education. Possess basic Windows, Apple, and Chrome troubleshooting skills. Strong communication skills Willingness to learn educational software Associate’s degree or higher Ability to work independently with minimum supervision Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with school staff and students.

DiPietro Elementary School opened in 1989, originally named South Elementary School. The school has 22 classrooms with an enrollment of 444 students in kindergarten through third grade. The mission of DiPietro Elementary School is to provide a creative, supportive learning environment that meets the needs of individual students in which we maximize achievement, promote social competency, respect similarities as well as differences, and develop life-long learners who contribute positively to the community. DiPietro Elementary School a great place to be. Our teachers are dedicated to ensuring that each child meets his or her full potential. Our goal is to create a positive school environment in which all children can learn and celebrate their accomplishments. Our PAWS program (Positive Actions and Words at South-DiPietro) promotes the development of positive social competency skils.
