DATE: May 24, 2022 (Re-Posted) TITLE: STEAM & Technology Integration Teacher (Grade 4 & 5) SALARY: As per Bellingham Teacher Salary Schedule LOCATION: Bellingham Memorial School FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Building Principal and Technology Director or Designee, the Technology Teacher provides general technology instruction and support for Middle school students.
DUTIES: 1.Works collaboratively with the Technology Director and the building Principal in the acquisition, maintenance, and replacement of software and hardware. 2.Collaborate with grade level content teachers on curriculum development in the areas of Science/Technology/Engineering/Art/Math, including participation in trainings for new curriculum materials acquired for Science/Technology/Engineering/Art/Math 3.Create a learning environment to motivate each student to succeed academically. 4.Instructs students in basic computer skills, information literacy skills, instructional software applications, web quests and Internet searching and safety skills. 5.Assists teachers in classrooms with the use of instructional technology to enhance student learning. 6.Identify pupil needs and cooperate with other professionals to assist students to meet those needs specific to the use of the Google G Suite and all related Google educational applications. 7.Collaborates with teachers to design instruction that supports the MA Curriculum Frameworks using innovative techniques. 8.Adheres to the policies of and procedures of the Bellingham School Committee. 9.Performs related duties as may be assigned by the principal.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 1.Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degrees. 2. MA DESE Certification Instructional Technology (All Levels) required. 3.Knowledge of current Google operating systems (i.e. G-suite) and current productivity software (i.e. Google Sheets, Docs,). 4. Technical certificates preferred (vendor specific certifications).
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 1.Good health – willing to submit to a medical exam. 2.Ability to relate with students, parents and other staff members. 3.Must be a person of professional and personal integrity. 4.Knowledge of Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. 5.Strong communication skills 6.Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet searching and evaluation of web sites 7.Strong Google Apps for Education, Microsoft Office, and Apple iOS knowledge 8.Willingness to learn educational software
