Job Title: Social Adjustment Counselor – MAA
Reports to: Suzanne Tingas, Principal

  • Current and Valid MA DESE license (Social Worker and/or School Adjustment Counselor) - Appropriate Massachusetts DESE/ELAR.
  • Licensure required for the assignment.

  • Will work directly with students for counseling.
  • Coordination with outside agencies and parents.
  • Participation in the school and district initiatives.
  • Requires time within the classrooms to assist teachers.
  • Frequent meetings with parents and the building administration team.
  • Participate in, coordinate and conduct activities that contribute to the effective operation of the school (data analysis, reports, logs, notes, student records, reviews, and other functions as necessary).
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Pupil Personnel Services or the Principal.

    Job Requirements
    A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university Valid/Appropriate Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education teacher licensure for position.
