The Campbell Elementary School is seeking a School Adjustment Counselor for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended only as an illustration of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.
Consult and cooperate with administrators and professional staff in assessing the social and emotional health of students experiencing difficulty accessing school and in developing plans to mitigate such challenges on learning
Provide services as outlined in a student’s IEP or 504 Accommodation Plan
Participate in the drafting of IEP goals and objectives for students requiring specialized instruction
Document progress towards goals and objectives in student’s IEP’s
Participate in eligibility determination for special education and 504 evaluations
Participate as a member of the School-Based Crisis Team
Participate as a member of the Student Support Team
Meet regularly and work collaboratively with colleagues across the district
Serve as a referral agent to obtain necessary information from specialized public or private organizations as well as state agencies in regard to the well-being of students
Keep complete, up to date and accurate records and/or data required by law, policy and regulation
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: As per the Dracut Teachers’ Association contract

QUALIFICATIONS:
*Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Master’s preferred
*Degrees in Guidance or Psychology will also be considered
*Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education License as School Social Worker/School Adjustment Counselor
*Commonwealth of Massachusetts license as Social Worker
