Title: ESY Behavior Technician

    Timesheets will be sent to reflect correct wages by June 3rd

    Program Description:
    Instruction will emphasize literacy, math, social and communication skills to address regression and reduce the time to recoup skills. All recommended therapies will be provided during this time.

    Position Description:Behavior Technicians are responsible for implementing programming for students who are included in the general education setting for all or most of their day as part of the District’s Behavior Support Program.

    Behavior Technicians use the core principles of Applied Behavior Analysis including reinforcement procedures and analysis of data while also using components of the Cognitive Behavior Therapy approach. Behavior Technicians use a variety of self-regulation tools and social skills training techniques.

    The number of Behavior Technicians required for each program will be determined by enrollment.

    Program Dates:
    07/05/2022 through 08/03/2022 (5 weeks)

    Days and Times:
    Monday through Wednesday (Week 1 will start on Tuesday due to the 4th of July holiday)

    Elementary
    8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

    Secondary
    9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

    In addition to the program hours, a Behavior Technician’s schedule will include 1 hour of prep per day to be scheduled before or after class hours, or in two thirty minute periods – one before, one after class hours.

    Elementary Program
    Location: Stall Brook Elementary
    Grade Level: Kindergarten through Grade 3
    Description: Enrollment will determine the number of positions.


    Middle and High School Program
    Location: Bellingham Memorial School
    Grade Level: Grades 4 through 11
    Description: Enrollment will determine the number of positions.


    Qualifications:
    1.Preference will be given to applicants who have worked with students with mild to moderate special needs, students on the Autism Spectrum and students with Developmental Disabilities.
