Job Description

• Assist the Program Teacher in the implementation of student IEPs, support students in accessing curriculum and work under the direction of the Special Education teacher.
• Assist the Special Education Teacher with implementing Individualized Educational Programs, data collection, and support students as needed during related services. This includes ACE data collection and related responsibilities.
• Assist students with the development of social and emotional skills and to perform duties as an instructional assistant to the teacher
• Work in collaboration with school psychologist, district BCBA, classroom teacher, administration and all other related service providers to assist and implement individualized behavior plans and data collection
• Ability to assist student(s) with both academic and social/emotional goals as stated in the IEP
• Participate in training as required including Safety Cares training
• To assist the teacher in the review and reinforcement of instructional lessons/activities
• To comply with other duties as may be assigned by the teacher, the Director of Student Support and/or the Building Principal/Administrators as appropriate.
  • This position contains a six week summer component

    Job Requirements
    DEGREE PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree is preferred EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: 1-2 years working with students with complex special needs.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Associate degree preferred
  • Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
