Job Description
•In collaboration with classroom teachers and administration, assess students, utilize diagnostic tools, and use assessment data to plan and provide intervention and instructional literacy services both within and outside the classroom.
•Provide reading instruction and intervention for students individually or in small groups who are identified for additional support and services
•Conduct progress monitoring and serve as an instructional leader for colleagues in understanding and responding to student’s growth data
•Serve as a consultant and resource for classroom teachers when administering assessments and instruction
•Participate in the Instructional Support Team to discuss data and measurable goals for student success through the RTI process
•Communicate with parents/guardians, colleagues, and school staff regarding the progress of individual students
•Attend and participate in regularly scheduled meetings and professional learning
•Participate in professional development opportunities to support school and district goals
•Other responsibilities assigned by the building administration, Coordinator of Elementary Literacy and/or Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Staff Development

Job Requirements
DEGREE PREFERRED: •A valid Massachusetts Reading Specialist License •Master’s degree is preferred EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: •Three or more years of experience in education and in a school setting •Specific experience with BAS (Fountas & Pinnell) preferred •SEI endorsement
