Job Description

This Educational Assistant supports the Stepping Stones program teacher and the students to meet their IEP goals. The assistant will provide support in all education settings as outlined in the student’s individual education plan, and as directed by the program teacher

• Help implement behavior plans and modifications as necessary if necessary
• Work with all teachers and assist in the classroom as the teacher deems appropriate (This may include but is not limited to small group instruction, giving frequent breaks, making modifications for students and working with diverse learning styles)
• Work with special needs population in a substantially separate classroom
• Implement current IEP plans, data collection and discrete trials
• Work cooperatively with grade level colleagues along with the classroom teacher
• Participate in all requested professional development including Safety Care training and CBT training
• Other relevant duties as assigned
  • Six week summer component included with this position.

    Job Requirements
    DEGREE PREFERRED: • Associate’s Degree EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: • Experience working with children • Experience working with children with social/emotional disabilities • Safety Care Training preferred or become certified as provided by the district • ABA experience preferred
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
