Job Description
1. Prepare for the delivery of appropriate instruction in accordance with department goals and objectives following proven procedures. 2. Organize instruction sequentially following the most current Massachusetts CVTE Curriculum Frameworks outlined in the Advanced Manufacturing Technology occupational area under the Manufacturing, Engineering & Technology Cluster and utilizing Competency Based Education methods and techniques as appropriate to individual student learning styles. Provide quality instruction relative to all aspects of Health and Safety as they relate to the Advanced Manufacturing Technology. 3. Use methods of instruction that are welcoming, motivating, and supporting. 4. Create an environment that is conducive to learning. 5. Cooperate with intra and extra department efforts to integrate instruction. 6. Attend curriculum development meetings. 7. Participate in activities that promote the best interest of our students and our school. 8. Engage in professional development programs to keep current with modern pedagogy. 9. Maintain decorum and control of assigned students for the purposes of enhancing learning and insuring a safe and healthful environment in the classroom and throughout the school. 10. Abide by school procedures, rules, and directives. 11. Utilize school support services as needed. 12. The candidate must be able to inspire excellence, achieve consensus and respond effectively to the system's mission with humor and enthusiasm.

Job Requirements
Qualifications: 1. Possess necessary approvals to teach Advanced Manufacturing Technology as prescribed by The Department of Education, as put forth by Chapter 74, as amended by Chapter 731 and The Education Reform Act of 1993. 2. Five years of recent (within the last seven years), full-time employment experience directly related to Advanced Manufacturing Technology. 3. Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in CNC programming and operation, (Solidworks and MasterCam experience preferred). 4. Demonstrate characteristics which clearly indicate an ability to relate positively to students and colleagues. 5. Possess a clear sense of purpose as it pertains to teaching young people who attend this school. 6. Possess a personal history which is exemplary, supported with references. 7. Strive to complete sixty (60) hours of professional development each year. 8. Possess a current license in trade area.
