ANNOUNCEMENT OF A VACANCY FOR THE
2021 ELEMENTARY SUMMER SCHOOL

Summer Elementary Intervention Program - Director
Elementary Summer School Program

Responsibilities (commencing in April, 2021):
•Conduct staff meetings and training in coordination with the Title I Director, as necessary, for the proper functioning of the summer school.
•Supervise summer intervention teachers and all instructional activities.
•Coordinate the administration of the elementary summer school intervention program which includes student recruitment, registration, assessment, intervention grouping/scheduling, teacher assignment, and progress monitoring.
•Supervise the maintenance of accurate records on the academic progress and attendance of students in accordance with Title I Regulations.
•Assist in the screening, hiring and assigning of summer school reading and math intervention teachers.
•Maintain high standards of student conduct and enforce discipline as necessary.
•Assess all summer school activities and provide recommendations for the improvement of future summer programs.
•Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the Title I Director and K-8 Curriculum Coordinator

Qualifications:
•Master’s Degree
•Evidence of five years of successful teaching experience, preferably with experience in providing research-based interventions

Summer school schedule: 5 weeks, 4 days a week, 8:30am-1pm, Dates TBD
Location: Community School Adventure Camp Sites
Mandatory Orientation and Professional Development Days: TBD

Reports to: District Coordinator of Summer Programs and Title I Director

Disclosure: Subject to funding availability and student enrollment; courses may be cancelled due to lack of enrollment.
