ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY FOR THE
2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR

Part Time Utility Aide
WEST SOMERVILLE NEIGHBORHOOD SCHOOL

Job Goal:
To assist in the provision for the hospitality, security and protection of all students, staff, and property at an elementary school.

Responsibilities:
•Oversee the entrance to the main office in order to greet students, staff, parent/guardians and other guests to the school.
•Conduct inspections of doors, windows and gates to determine that they are secure
•Report any unusual conditions or malfunctions
•Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•Ability to work as a member of the school based team
•Good people skills
•Good organizational skills
•Effective student management skills
•One year of post high school education preferred

Terms of Employment:
•Work Schedule / School Year, Sept -June
•Up to 18.75 hours per week
•Work schedule requires some flexibility, may require mornings, afternoons and/ or evening hours; Morning shift is from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM and afternoon shift is from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
•This position is not eligible for life, medical, or dental benefits
