ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR Geometry Tutor SOMERVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Job Goal: Tutors work with students to provide academic support to the 8th grade asynchronous Geometry class and are expected to coordinate learning and track the progress of students.
Responsibilities: •Support the academic program for the students based on their Individualized Education Programs. •Establish a consistent line of communication with students to support their progress through their academic program utilizing the online learning platform and through telephone support as needed. •Provide ongoing monitoring and support for students as they progress through their course, including regular face-to-face sessions during school hours on a schedule, during the school year. •Work with staff to assist with students’ motivation and progress toward academic goals.
Terms of Employment: •School Year Schedule thru June 2021 •Part Time •$27/hour
