Job Description
The Tapestry Program at Rutland Intermediate School is looking for a new Site Coordinator to continue building programs and supporting students at Rutland Intermediate School. The RIS Tapestry Program is an afterschool and summer academic/enrichment program serving children in grades three through six.

The Site Coordinator must be a dynamic, self motivated, organized, adaptable, creative and caring individual able to communicate positively, appropriately and effectively with children, parents, staff, school personnel and the community at large. The Site Coordinator responsibilities include: manage daily operation of afterschool and summer programs; create supportive learning environments; supervise/recruit staff; maintain child care licensing and 21CCLC grant compliance; promote programs and build community connections. Flexibility, passion for helping children succeed, and excellent organizational skills are required!

Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour.
Position Type: Part-time

Anticipated Schedule: The afterschool program follows the school calendar September through June (~15 hours per week) and concludes with a six to seven week summer program (~ 40 hours per week). Flexible schedules around school required meetings.

Job Requirements
• Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and have significant experience working with school-aged children in an educational setting.

• All candidates are required to submit and pass both Vermont CDD and Rutland City Public School background and fingerprint record checks. Candidates must meet all VT Child Development Division, VT Agency of Education and local school district qualifications.

• Ideal candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree with current Vermont Teacher Certification and experience working with children in a public school or child care setting.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
