2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR

Human Resources Intern

Job Goal: As one of the first contacts for many new employees, the Human Resources Intern will assist in creating a professional, confidential and welcoming environment for all new and current staff. This would include assisting with onboarding for new hires, people entering, calling or emailing the Human Resources office with questions and/or need assistance.

In addition, the HR Intern will be responsible for creating and disseminating badges for Somerville Public School employees.

The HR Intern will work closely with all HR department staff and report directly to the Director and Assistant Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities Include:
• Creating, disseminating and managing badges for Somerville Public School employees
• Onboarding:
o Provide new hire employee forms and assistance to new employees
o Review completed forms for accuracy
o Create new employee database profile
• Other duties as assigned

Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong communication skills
Strong Technology skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Terms of Employment:
• Part Time / Up to 15 hours per week
• Flexible schedule
• Full Year; Including summer months
