Job Description
The Amherst Public School District is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill a school year permanent Program Secretary II position within the Special Education / Student Services Office at the elementary school level. This is a union position within Unit B (Clerical/Media staff). As with other unit positions, time may be spent in support of other schools and programs as needed. The Program Secretary II is considered a grade G position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintain multiple data bases and extensive data entry.
Research data and generate reports for local, state and federal use
Support and oversee aspects of monitoring and compliance with federal and state education laws and regulations.
Provide secretarial support to the administrative team including the middle school Educational Team Leader (ETL).
Report directly to the Principal or Asst Principal.
Maintain regular communication with school personnel and provide ongoing support as needed including scheduling meetings for ETL and Guidance Counselors.
Regular communication with parents for scheduling and completion of documents.
Basic and advanced record keeping including filing, copying.
Work cooperatively and in support of all staff, including providing back up support to other clerical staff in the Middle School as needed.
