ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY FOR THE
2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR

PT Substance Abuse Prevention and Intervention Specialist
Next Wave/Full Circle Schools

Job Goal:
To provide support for students and staff with drug and alcohol education, prevention, intervention and consultation.

Qualifications:
• Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor preferred

Responsibilities:
• Provide consultation and serve as a resource to staff for referrals and other community services individually and in regular staff meetings as needed.
• Design and conduct several weekly groups focused on a variety of alcohol and other drug-related topics including (a) overseeing student-run taskforce (addressing and enforcing school AOD policies), and (b) processing and psycho-educational groups
• Provide individualized student support to Student Services, as well as internal and external referrals
• Weekly community service group

Terms of Employment:
• This position is a school year based position.
• This is a part time position with a maximum of 19.5 hours per week/$30 per hour
• This position in not eligible for life, medical or dental benefits

Position Reports to: School Principal
