2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR

ANTICIPATED
ELL Program/Assessment Specialist (K-12)
SOMERVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Job Goal: Under the direction of the Administrator of District Programs provide leadership, training, and guidance in assessing and determining English Learner need for service and placement in programs. Monitor English Learner student progress in all educational settings, maintain ELL Program data and assist in reporting.

Qualifications:
• MA DESE Teacher Licensure in appropriate grade level (K-12) and ESL/ELL Licensure
• Dually licensed in Special Education strongly preferred
• Bilingual speaker strongly preferred

Responsibilities: As per the Somerville Teachers Association, Unit A Collective Bargaining Agreement

Position Reports to: School Principal and District Administrator of English Learner Education
