Job Description
The Agnes Irwin School's Mathematics Department seeks an experienced, dynamic, and creative part-time (50%, with possibility of full-time) Middle School Mathematics Teacher for the 2019-2020 academic year. Candidates should possess a passion for teaching and enjoy working in an academic environment with colleagues who value collaboration as well as independence. Successful candidates will have a proven record of engaging students in class, managing a classroom in an effective and safe manner, and inspiring a love of learning. Candidates should be able to successfully teach classes ranging from 5th grade math to Honors Geometry.

Successful applicants must possess:
• Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree preferred
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching middle school mathematics
• Minimum three (3) years teaching experience preferred
• Proficiency in the use of classroom technology: interactive smart boards, graphing calculators, and various Microsoft Office applications
• Proven ability to engage students in meaningful classroom activities
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability and interest in coaching a plus
