Job Description
We are seeking a full-time teacher for our Infant/Toddler Room. The Teacher is responsible for the academic, social-emotional growth and development of all the children in their care; development of partnerships with parents/ caregivers to engage and encourage parent participation in their classroom. The Teacher must work as a team with staff, as they implement the curriculum, and develop classroom rules/behavioral expectations. Teachers must have a warm, friendly personality and be sensitive to the feelings and needs of the children, families, students and other staff in our center while consistently enforcing established expectations. They must have good communication, problem solving, and priority setting skills as well as maintaining an overall positive and professional attitude/ disposition and respect for all.

Responsibilities include:
> Provides a safe and clean environment in the classroom and maintains a weekly cleaning schedule.
> Develops and visibly posts, weekly/daily plans, to implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that stimulates all domains of children’s development.
> Plans bulletin boards/parent board, classroom centers, and hands-on activities.
> Provides a developmentally appropriate diversified classroom environment that reflects the children’s learning and growth.
> Performs on-going developmental evaluations of the children so lesson plans may be restructured to meet the needs of the individual child.
> Regularly plans, evaluates, and improves the physical environment in the classroom to create opportunities to meet the changing needs of the developing child.
>Provides progress reports for all children in the fall and spring, then meets with parents to discuss the children’s developmental progress, needs, and interests.
> Maintains open communication with parents, caregivers, staff/interns and volunteers.
> Assists children and families with the transition from home and between classrooms.
> Maintains classroom emergency bag.
> Completes daily health checks regarding hygiene, safety, and the overall well-being of the children.
> Attends staff meetings, mandated trainings, and other center events.
> Follows the rules and policies of the Randolph Public School District and the Randolph Child Development Center.

Reports to: Child Care Coordinator or Child Care Specialist

Terms: 182 school days; 9:30am - 5pm

Position is through the end of the 2018-19 school year

Job Requirements
The Teacher must have a valid EEC certificate for the Infant/Toddler Classroom.
Valid CPR and First Aid certificates.
