Director of Equity and Inclusion
(Formerly Director of Support Services)

Our upbeat, supportive, picturesque Vermont community seeks a dynamic, diligent, creative, student-oriented, experienced educator who will provide excellent leadership for Special Education throughout Rutland City. The schools include Rutland High School, Rutland Middle School, Rutland Intermediate School, Northwest Primary School, Northeast Primary School, Stafford Technical Center, and the Allen Street Campus.

The Director of Equity and Inclusion must demonstrate a passion for students and live the motto of “Every Student Every Day.” Must supervise and coordinate Special Education and Section 504 services. Promote and communicate an inclusive and equitable vision for meeting the needs of students who have learning and behavioral challenges pre-K through grade 12.

Applicants must be able to apply leadership, organization, and systems change theory to the provision of services for students. Interpret and apply current laws, regulations, and policies as they apply to the educational setting.

The successful candidate should hold a Master’s Degree in education and have at least 3 years Administrative experience. Licensure, or eligibility for the same, as a Vermont Director of Special Education is required. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
