Job Description
RI Certification as Secondary Special Education Teacher
• Experience working with students with learning challenges
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Educational Programs


Reports to: Building Principal and Director of Pupil Personnel

Job Goal:

Provided special education to identified students in order to support their learning and empower them to excel


Performance Responsibilities:


• Participate in team meetings in order to develop IEPs

• Provide special education to identified students that supports their growth in academics, positive behavior and social/emotional learning that is explicit, intensive, accelerated

• Identify daily and/or weekly goals for students to teach students self-reflection strategies to monitor their own progress

• Progress monitor students for academics and executive functioning

• Maintain strong home/school communication with identified students' families

• Other duties as assigned by Building Principal and Director of Pupil Personnel
