2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR

Part Time Utility Aide
East Somerville Community School

Job Goal:
To assist in the provision for the hospitality, security and protection of all students, staff, and property at an elementary school.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entrance to the main office in order to greet students, staff, parent/guardians and other guests to the school.
• Conduct inspections of doors, windows and gates to determine that they are secure
• Report any unusual conditions or malfunctions
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Ability to work as a member of the school based team
• Good people skills
• Good organizational skills
• Effective student management skills
• One year of post high school education preferred

Terms of Employment:
• This position is a school-year position
• This is a part-time position, with a maximum of 18 hours per week
• Work schedule requires some flexibility, may require mornings, afternoons and/ or evening hours; Morning shift is from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM and afternoon shift is from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
• This position is not eligible for life, medical, or dental benefits
