Job Description

Carlisle Public School is hiring a full time (1.0 FTE) middle school health teacher/elementary PE teacher starting in the 2023-2024 school year. The position includes a (.9 FTE) middle school and elementary health teaching component. The educator will instruct health and wellness curriculum to students in grades 3-8.

•MA DESE licensure and appropriate relevant experience required.
•A Master's Degree in education or this content area is preferred; Bachelor's Degree is required.
•Knowledge of best practices in engaging and motivating students.
•Experience with Common Core Standards and technology-based learning into health curriculum; experience with 1:1 technology such as iPads is a plus, for students in grade 5-8.
•Evidence of building strong connections with students and families is desired.
•Ability to teach physical education and/or wellness electives is a plus.
•Experience in differentiating instruction and planning curriculum using “backwards design” and formative assessments.

In addition, the position includes (.1 FTE) elementary physical education teaching responsibility. The physical education teacher will provide instruction in alignment to national and state standards for elementary students.
