Interventionist needed for the Brownington Central School.

Purpose:
To create a rigorous intervention program for students who have been identified as requiring Tier II and Tier III interventions and to support universal screenings, data entry, and data teams.

Responsibilities:
-Provide small group reading or math interventions for students identified as needing Tier II and/or Tier III support.

-Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, other interventionists, special educators, and the principal to design and implement an effective intervention program

-Monitor and track student progress

-Attend EST/progress monitoring meetings, data meetings and other meetings as determined by the principal

-Help administer diagnostic and district assessments, progress monitor and enter progress monitoring data as needed

A successful candidate will possess Vermont Elementary Educator license, the ability to work closely with team members, excellent classroom management skills, the ability to make meaningful connections with students, and the ability to actively engage students in their learning. The successful candidate will play a role in our two-tiered improvement plan of focusing on Student Engagement in Learning and implementing a Social Emotional Learning plan.

The Orleans Central Supervisory Union is comprised of two school districts (Lake Region Union Elementary-Middle School and Lake Region Union High School) supporting six K-8 elementary schools, the Orleans Central Early Childhood Program, and Lake Region Union High School.

    Job Requirements

    • This position requires a Vermont Teaching License. Vermont licensure requires a minimum of a Bachelors Degree.
