Job Description

Lamoille Union Middle School seeks an energetic and versatile Music teacher to begin in August of 2023. The ideal candidate will have a sense of humor and a love for middle school students. A background in curriculum development, standards-based grading and the ability to collaborate with other music teachers at the high school and the applied academic teachers in the middle level are important. The position will include general music classes and either band or choir depending on the strengths of the successful candidate. The teacher will be expected to nurture an understanding and appreciation of music and its role in the lives of students. Lamoille Union and its surrounding community support and value the arts. We strive to foster the interests of each student in and through all areas of the curriculum. We are looking for a self-motivated, flexible, team player. Knowledge of Schoology is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Teacher licensing requirements as defined by the VT State Department of Education, and a current endorsement in music education.
Previous teaching experience and/or performance as a musician highly desirable.
