Job Description

League School of Greater Boston is an award-winning year-round program dedicated to the education of children on the autism spectrum. Our team approach to education creates a collaborative, supportive and open environment within our community. We are currently seeking a Part-Time ADMISSIONS ASSISTANT to start immediately at our program in Walpole. Pay starts at $20.50/hour.


Position Requirements:
•High school diploma or high school equivalency.
•Experience with autism is preferred.
•CPR and First Aid certifications (League School will provide training).
•Valid driver’s license.
•Must pass rigorous background checks, including nationwide fingerprint screening.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in the use of Microsoft and Google Suites.

Supervision Received: Admissions Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Admissions Responsibilities:
1.Assist Admissions Coordinator in responding to inquiries from parents and school districts looking for information on League School in a timely manner.
2.Maintain and update student electronic records (BlueStep):
a.Input referral packet upon receipt from the referring district.
b.Upon acceptance, input admission paperwork into electronic record.
c.Upon admission, update students from active referral to active student.
3.Draft and send Admission Notification to leadership team and accepting programmatic team upon student acceptance into program.
4.Draft and send Admission Declined paperwork to the referring district if the student is not accepted to the program.
5.Draft and send Exit Notification to leadership team and discharging programmatic team.
6.Maintain ongoing record of student admission and anticipated graduation dates.
7.Record Admissions Committee and Intake Debrief meeting minutes provided standard form for each referral: strengths, challenges, needed information and point person, reason for rule-out, next steps (e.g. observation, phone call, 1-hour intake, full-day intake, overnight, etc.)
8.Assist Admissions Coordinator and secretaries to process incoming paperwork for student files.

Conference, Open House, and Events Responsibilities:
1.Assist Admissions Coordinator in aspects of exhibitor conferences—packing, shipping, set-up, and breakdown.
2.Support program tours for potential families, open house participants, and other guests, as deemed necessary.
3.Draft and send follow-up correspondence after conferences, open houses, and other networking events.

Other Responsibilities:
1.Additional duties as assigned by the Admissions Coordinator and Director of Neurodiversity & Community Inclusion.
2.Collaboratively work with secretarial support.
