Successful candidates should have prior Strength & Conditioning experience.  Additionally, successful candidates should have a certification in Strength and Conditioning such as CSCS, CPR/AED.



Minimum 1-2 years Sports Performance Coaching preferred.Extensive knowledge of exercise progression, regression, and form.

  • Assisting the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach with the development and implementation of strength training, speed, flexibility, and conditioning programs for Framingham High School teams.
  • Assist in weight room upkeep, equipment maintenance, and other duties, as assigned.
  • Establish specific strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams.  Teach, demonstrate and supervise proper techniques in the use of strength equipment and conditioning exercises.
  • Provide an environment that is conducive to the health and welfare of student-athletes.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to instruct by example on the field and move throughout the school building and busesas. The employee must also often remain in a stationary position for considerable periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to routinely lift/carry athletic equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. The employee must frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and use hand strength to grasp tools. Occasionally s/he operates recreation and /athletic equipment with dexterity and in a safe and efficient manner. The employee must be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members in person and on the telephone. Indoor and outdoor working environment subject to bending, crouching and kneeling to assist students; pushing/pulling and lifting of recreation equipment; standing/walking for prolonged periods of time; occasional running and jumping; and reaching in all directions. The employee will be working in an athletic environment that will occasionally have a high level of noise. The employee interacts with students, parents, other coaches and staff members. The employee is directly responsible for the safety and well-being of students.



Head Strength & Conditioning Coach. The performance of this job will be evaluated by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in consultation with the Athletic Director.






This position is classified as Exempt (Professional).



This is a non-bargaining position. 

16-18 hours per week
