Davies Career and Technical High School in Lincoln, Rhode Island, we're a lot like your local high school. Davies is currently hiring an IT Data/Systems Manager!

Job Goal
To support information systems, data reporting and Technology Department operations for the District


Qualifications
-Knowledge of technology, database design, system administration, web and systems integration experience
-Established background in educational and administrative information technology systems, including knowledge of Student Information Systems and R.I./Federal reporting regulations
-Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment with a focus on end user support and customer service
-Knowledge of applicable student data privacy laws and FERPA
-Experience in creating reports with Student Information Systems & Employee Management Systems
-Strong written and oral communication skills
-Ability to guide/train staff in end user software matters
-Ability to collaborate effectively with others to ensure data collection and input is accurate
-Strong working experience with spreadsheets such as Excel & Google Sheets


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
-Provide accurate, timely reporting to satisfy all of the District’s State & Federal requirements
-Create reports to easily access data in response to District Administration needs
-Coordinate all data integrations and rostering for all systems in use both currently and prospectively
-Assist with the implementation, training and ongoing support of all software
-Ensure that all usage of software, apps and extensions satisfies the District’s data privacy initiative
-Assist with system administration tasks for users such as password resets
-Assist with the overall implementation of technology goals and objectives as outlined in the school’s technology plan and strategic plan.
-Assist with the creation and oversight of data security policies and procedures
-Attend all designated and appropriate Data Manager meetings
-Serve as support liaison between Davies and designated third party vendors
-Perform other duties as assigned

Skills Required
-Ability to communicate complex topics to a general audience; excellent written and oral proficiency is required
-Ability to multitask and prioritize projects while maintaining high customer service standards
-Possess a working knowledge of common information technologies, systems, and office productivity tools
-Proficiency with understanding database schema and mapping
-Ability to effectively collaborate and embrace a teamwork approach in performance of duties
-Experience with Student Information Systems on a R.I./Federal level is strongly preferred

Education Requirements
-Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred

    ABOUT DAVIES …
    William M. Davies, Jr. Career and Technical High School, located in Lincoln Rhode Island, is a local education agency (LEA) serving approximately 800 students from Central Falls, Lincoln, North Providence, Pawtucket, Providence and Smithfield.
    Davies is a State-funded high school governed by an independent, business-led Board of Trustees. Students must take entrance examinations and apply for admission to Davies. Sending districts do not pay tuition, only the cost of student transportation.
    In partnership with businesses and institutions of higher education, Davies prepares students for promising careers in Rhode Island’s business sectors: hospitality, healthcare, telecommunications, cosmetology, construction, information technology, high tech manufacturing, graphic design and printing, automotive and financial/business services.
    Davies, a 4-year high school, offers both academic and career-focused programs, plus SkillsUSA membership and competitions, intramural sports and many other activities for students.
    After a ninth grade exploratory experience, students may choose programs in 12 different career-related areas.
    Current industry and academic standards guide decisions on curriculum and equipment.
